I'm running the 1.9 version 2 pre-release on the server. D:

If you would like to play with the new changes it requires downloading this.

Then going to wherever your computer keeps the minecraft data, on windows it's found easily by doing a search for %appdata% from there it's in /roaming/.minecraft/bin and you copy that file you downloaded into that folder. Can make a new folder there called /backups/ or something and then throw your old minecraft.jar into it before you replace it with the new one.

This link is where I got the pre-release, it was given out by Jeb for beta-beta testing purposes while they finalize the stuff they're trying to fit into the official 1.9 release.

Could always find the right folder by just opening up minecraft, going to texture packs on the main menu, and opening the folder there. Then you should only have to go back one folder into your minecraft directory, and then /bin/

p.s. I had to go look through all my PMs to add people back to the server's whitelist, and I musta missed you, you're on it now though.

So if I missed anyone else, poke me gently!

I have the prerelease as well, but despite being white-listed I couldn't get out of the spawnhouse :|

Plus, I think snow is bugged....it destroyed my tracks!

Wish Minecraft didn't always and forever give me memory errors now.

You try any fresh installs after backing up your old worlds? It might be your old worlds being a problem too, though yeah the game does seem to just keep getting more memory intensive. I've also had to go in and allow Minecraft to use more RAM for Java than is normally defaulted. That has seemed to help, also playing on 'Far' is near impossible.

New installs of Minecraft, new worlds, new Javas, different allotments of ram to Java.
Yeah, I dunno.
